Off The Grid: Take It Offline On Your Laptop
SmartContractor doesn’t require an internet connection to work. One feature that sets SmartContractor apart from other web-based construction software programs is the ability to work offline. When you work offline, SmartContractor takes a copy of your network database and loads it onto your laptop’s hard drive.
You can then take your laptop to a job site or a meeting and update job estimates, or create invoices or manage a client’s contact information. SmartContractor users who are back at your office can also continue to make any additions or updates to any of the data SmartContractor has stored.
When you’re done working in the field, you can re-connect the laptop to the office network and select the menu option to “merge offline data”. This will merge all changes made to the data on the laptop with the data in the office.
