The Restore Data utility restores your Smart Contractor data from a backup copy.

The Restore Data utility can be run from the Restore From Backup menu option in the Utilities menu.

When you run the Restore From Backup utility, the program prompts to you select the Smart Contractor backup file to restore from.

The name of the your Smart Contractor data backup file is "CE (company name).zip", where (company name) is the name of the company that you entered in the Company Info form.

IMPORTANT!: Use extreme caution when you restore data from a backup!

• Make sure you have the correct company database open before you restore from a backup! The name of the company database currently in use is displayed in the top line of the Smart Contractor main window, after "Smart Contractor - ". If you need to open a different database, use the Open Database menu option.

  When you restore from a backup, the CURRENTLY OPENED DATABASE WILL BE LOST!"

• Make sure you are restoring from the correct backup file!

  Smart Contractor allows you to create and use separate databases for separate companies. Each database is backed up to a separate backup file that is named differently for each company. You can know the name of the company whose data you are restoring from by the name of the backup file: "CE (company name).zip". When you restore from a backup, THE BACKUP DATA WILL REPLACE THE CURRENTLY OPENED DATABASE!

To make a backup of Smart Contractor data, use the Backup Data utility.
