Create Users Form

To open the Create Users form, click on Setup in the shortcut or drop-down menu, then click on Security, then click Use Accounts.

The Create Users form allows you to create Smart Contractor user accounts. Users accounts are used to control who has access to Smart Contractor, and what each user has access to. To use user login accounts, create the necessary user account records, and then check the Require Login To Smart Contractor in the Security Options form) form.

Aside from the standard prompts available on all forms, the User entry form has the following prompts:

User Name:

Enter the name of the User.

Password:

Enter a password for the User. This is the password that the user will be required to enter when logging into Smart Contractor.

Confirm Password:

Enter the same password again to confirm.

User Type:

Select the User Type.

When the "Restrict Job Access To Job Creator:" option in the Security Options form is checked, then only users who create a job, or Admin users, will have access to it. To define a user as an "Admin user", select "Admin" in the prompt for User Type.  

Control Access By Menu Option:

Check "Control Access By Menu Option" to control the user's access to individual menu options by checking them in the list of menu options below. Check the Enabled box for a menu option to give user access to that menu option. All other menu options will not be accessible to the user - unless the user's User Type is set to "Admin". (Admin users have access to all menu options.)
