Security Options

To open the Security Options form, click on Setup in the shortcut menu, then click Security, then click Security Options.

The Security Options Setup form has two prompts:

Require Login to Smart Contractor:

Check this box to require users to log into Smart Contractor.

Important: Before checking this option, you must create at least one user. When this option is checked, a user name and password must be provided to log in to Smart Contractor. Use the User entry form to create users and user passwords.

Master Password:

The Master Password is a password that can be used to override a prompt for a password anywhere in Smart Contractor.

Restrict Job Access To Job Creator:

When "Restrict Job Access To Job Creator:" is checked, then only users who create a job, or Admin users, will have access to it.

To define a user as an "Admin user", go to the Create Users menu option.

User Inactivity Timeout (Minutes):

If you enter a number (in minutes), the program will automatically shut down after that number of minutes has passed with no user activity.
