Smart Contractor runs on any PC computer, laptop or desktop, with any version of Windows, 95 or later. Smart Contractor can be run with multiple users on either a Windows network, or a Novell network.

Smart Contractor/Mobile for use in a situation where you have Smart Contractor on your computer or network in an office, but you want to take a laptop with you to job sites so you can update your job progress information in the field.

With Smart Contractor/Mobile on a laptop, you connect the laptop to your network, synchronize the database, take it with you to job sites, enter job progress information, return to the office, re-connect to the network, and download the updated job progress information.

Smart Contractor/Mobile is planned for release in mid 2007.

In any remodeling or custom construction project, the owner has to make selections for each of their "allowance" items: floor covering, cabinets, appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures, etc. There are a hundred different options for each allowance item, and each one has a different price. If the customer has to work within a budget (as most people do), it's very difficult to mix and match all of the possible combinations of allowance options and prices to come up with a combination that is desirable and still fits the budget.

That is what Smart Customer does. Smart Customer is a separate computer program that is integrated with Smart Contractor. The customer will be able to download and install Smart Customer (from this web site) for free. Then the contractor can email a list of the customer's allowance items to the customer to load into Smart Customer.

Smart Customer allows customers to enter any number of options for each allowance item, and then mix and match any combination of options for various buget scenarios.

When the customer makes a final selection for each of their allowance items, they can print the list, and email it back to the contractor for importing directly into Smart Contractor. Smart Contractor can then generate purchase orders for the selected allowance items.
