Search Archive Data

The Search Archive Data form allows you to search for and open jobs in archived data.

You may want to archive your Smart Contractor data to remove old jobs that have been completed and closed, or jobs that were never awarded. Removing jobs that you do not need from your active database will help Smart Contractor run faster.

Once you have archived old jobs, you may need to go back and have a look at them. The Search Archive Data form allows you to do that.

To run the Search Archive Data, select File > Search Archive Data from the drop down menu at the top of the screen.

The Search Archive Data form prompts you for the job customer name, or job number to search for. Enter a customer name or job number to search for and click Search.

The program will list all of the jobs that meet the search criteria in the grid below.

To open a job, click on it, and then click Open Job.

When you open an archived database, you will notice the following:

The Search Archive Data form has these prompts:

Search For Customer Name:

Enter a customer name to search for.

Search For Job Number:

Enter a job number to search for.

Search

Click Search to search the archive data for jobs that meet the search criteria.

Open Job

Click Open Job to open the job selected in the grid.
