Smart Contractor
Exit Smart Contractor

To exit Smart Contractor, click the Exit option in the File menu, or click the "X" button in the upper right corner of the main window.

The Smart Contractor Exit form will appear. The Smart Contractor Exit form allows you to automatically run a number of functions when you exit Smart Contractor. These include:

To run an exit option, check it, and then click Run Exit Options. To exit without running the exit options, click Just Exit. Click Do Not Exit to not exit Smart Contractor (if you exited Smart Contractor accidentally, and don't really want to exit).

Backup Data

The Backup Data option allows you to automatically make a backup copy of the Smart Contractor data (stored in the location specified in the prompt for Backup Data Location in the Data Backup Setup form). To backup your data, make sure the "Backup Data" exit option is checked, and then click the "Run Exit Options" button. The "Backup Data" exit option is automatically checked whenever Smart Contractor data has been changed since the last backup.

Backup Job Site Photos

The Backup Job Site Photos option allows you to backup your job site photos as well as your data. Backing up photos takes more space (and time), so you may only want to do this once a week, or only after you have added new photos.

Update QuickBooks Data

The Update QuickBooks Data option will automatically synchronize your Smart Contractor data with QuickBooks. This option is only visible if you have checked the Integrate With QuickBooks Data option in the QuickBooks Integration setup form. For an explanation of what happens when you run the Update QuickBooks Data option, see the QuickBooks Integration topic.

Publish To Web Site

The Publish To Web Site option allows you to indicate whether you want Smart Contractor to create and update web sites (within your web site) for your customer's job information. To enable this option, you must use the Website Publishing Setup option.
